Christopher Gaines is an artist, filmmaker, father and husband living in Salem, MA. He has been obsessed with filmmaking since he was a kid, and he loves to make things. He is also the Program Director of Real to Reel Film School at RAW Art Works, a Nationally recognized arts-therapy studio for youth-at-risk. His work has screened nationally and internationally at film festivals and on television. He has worked as an editor and assistant producer on a nationally broadcast business show, the assistant director of a live, televised nightly news magazine, a weekly public television program on Latino interests, a motion graphics designer, and is also an experienced cinematographer/videographer, director and experimental filmmaker. He has taught film at the high school and university levels, and mentors nearly 50 students annually in his groups offered at The Real to Reel Film School. Because of his introduction to filmmaking as a teen, he has an especially strong understanding of the medium's relationship and impact on arts and culture, particularly among youth.
